Isn’t it amazing how much difference a simple switch can make? As I mentioned in my previous post, I simply switched sleeping places with my sister-in-law, and the difference is that between feeling like a zombie and feeling like a human being again.
I wonder if that’s why there are so many adventure game puzzles that require you to switch out an object for another one. In Full Throttle for example you have to swap out video tapes in the projector room of the Corley Motors Factory. It reminded me of a similar puzzle in A New Beginning. The similarity runs even deeper in that in both cases you first have to lure away a character already present in the room.
I guess that if I’d been able to lure away my brother-in-law, I wouldn’t have had to switch places with his wife. But I don’t think he does sleepwalking.
